CIMR Manager

Department: Flavor CIMR
Location: Rockleigh, NJ
  •  Design and Implement global best practices in contemporary consumer, market and product research techniques with strong emphasis on data science and analytics
  • Responsible for managing, designing, and conducting consumer, product and market research studies to provide creative flavor direction/ new product concepts and to support strategic and client based consumer insights projects for global accounts
  • Leverage cutting edge consumer product research and analytical tools to provide new insights and generate new product and market ideas. 
  • Manage, design and implement global strategic research in consumer and consumer, product and market research studies for product innovation and strategic/proactive  category research
  • Assist Global CIMR VP in managing, designing, implementing and activating  strategic global studies
  • Assist Global CIMR VP in providing technical mentorship and developing best practices guidelines
  • Provide high quality research output/ communication/ presentation materials and appropriate recommendations to internal and external clients.
  • Develop insightful and strategic client proposals and research designs for key multi-national client joint development projects
  • Lead cross functional team (e.g., Flavor Creation and Application, Marketing, Sensory, etc. and/or global affiliates projects) and provide actionable guidance for new flavors and product concepts
  • Incorporate new market and consumer trends in new insights development,  category landscape and future trend analysis
  • Manage research projects with external research partners. Supervise virtual staff/strategic research partners  on design, data collection, analytics and reports

Job Requirements

  • B.S. (Masters degree preferred)  in Experimental/Behavioral Psychology, Statistics,  Neurosciences, Food Science, Sensory Sciences, Consumer and Market Research or related area. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in consumer insights, market research, product and technology guidance research and analytics.
  • The equivalent combination of advanced education and experience is acceptable
  • Strong analytical, data science and statistics skills; Must have proven skills with statistical packages (e.g., SAS, XLSTAT, or SPSS). 
  • Strong technical project management skills
  • Creative thinker. Ability to tell a story and connect the dots for both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of contemporary consumer, product and market research  and analytical tools
  • Take initiative in leading cross functional team project and fostering collaboration and team work 
  • Goal and action-oriented.
  • Proactive and independent researcher
  • Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required
