Quality Assurance Lead- Fragrance

Department: Fragrance Mfg - Quality Assurance
Location: Harriman, NY, United States

Job Summary:

Coordinates and maintains fragrance manufacturing plant quality assurance systems to promote compliance with customer, regulatory, industry and corporate requirements and standards. 

 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • ISO 9001/QMS Leader
  • CAPAís/NCRís; investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
  • Lead GMP audit program
  • Draft/write quality procedures, work instructions, SSOPís
  • Responsible for documenting quality management systems
  • Interpret and implement quality assurance standards
  • RSPO Coordinator
  • GHRMS spec liaison
  • Contract manufacturing quality, accreditation and qualification
  • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
  • Support on-site audits conducted by external providers
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
  • Develop, monitor and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Proactively work with the Quality Director to resolve Quality/Analytical related issues effecting production processes, customer satisfaction, and process improvements
  •  Identify training needs and coordinate training with HR and department managers to meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate the validation of new processes, equipment and methods.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • 3rd party lab accreditation and qualification

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum bachelorís degree in quality, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, or related discipline is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 yearsí experience as Quality Manager/Lead in fragrance, chemical, flavor, food or pharmaceutical industry is  preferred.
  • Solid background in quality systems management, ISO, auditing, GMPís, SOPís/documentation. 
  • Strong background in batch and/or automated manufacturing systems.
  • Strong background in analytical chemistry, including instrumentation. 
  • Strong computer skills (ERP, relational databases).
